Geography
The State of Oceana is ideally established on the old Territories of Spanish sovereignty in the Pacific Ocean or Spanish Oceanic Province.
These territories are located in the Western Pacific Ocean, between the Equator and the 11th parallel N, and between the 130th and 170th E meridians.
They are formed by a series of islands – some of volcanic origin – islets, rocks, coral reefs and sea-beds, by the interior waters of those reefs and the territorial waters to which it would have access according to international treaties, the rights on the exclusive economic zone and on the actual sea located between the islands, excluding the territorial waters of neighboring countries.
The State of Oceana outlines maritime borders with the following countries: Federal State of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (free states associated to the United States of America); Independent State of Papua New Guinea (Kingdom of the Commonwealth of HM Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Papua New Guinea), and Republic of Indonesia.
It is considered to be formed by Os Guedes, also known as Mapta, David, Pagan, ONACA, Onella and Freeville; Coroa or Arrecife, Matador or O-Acea; Pescadores or Campingamarangi, Kampinmailang, Piguiram, or Greenwich; Monteverde or Nuguor, Carteret reefs and Indiana; much of the Ututhi archipelago or Makenzie, concretely the islands of Mogmog, Falalep, Essere, Pigueif, Salgalay, Motufull, Falayud, Petangara, Mototeute, Eleute, Elimote, Piarra, Lome, Thorcilen, Loan, and Songue Paguieth , and the D'Urville groups or Luasape, and Phillip.
The State of Oceana is also a successor of the Kingdom of Spain of the rights retained in the Spanish-German treaty of 1899, and made effective by Spain, to establish a naval station on each of the archipelagos of the Carolinas, Marianas and Palaos.
CLIMATE
The climate of Oceana is tropical, with not much change of temperature between the different seasons or during the day. The weather is hot and humid. NE trade winds mellow temperatures between the months of December and June. The rainy season lasts from May to October.
Typhoons form between the months of June and December, with a period of high activity from August on. During the rainy season there is heavy rainfall because Oceana is situated in one of the rainiest geographical areas in the world. The amount of rainfall decreases from West to East.
Temperatures range from 22 to 30 degrees Centigrade, and rainfall is between 2.500 and 4.500 mm.
